An easy guide to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR)

For those of you travelling from Australia and New Zealand the easiest way to convert your $ to Rupiah is to drop Four Zeros.

The smallest note is 1,000 (10cents) and the largest is 100,000 ($10)

So

1,000 Rupiah =10cents
2,000 Rupiah =20 cents
5,000 Rupiah =50 cents
10,000 rupiah=$1
50,000 rupiah=$5
100,000 rupiah=$10

It’s lovely being a millionaire, even if it is just for the duration of your holiday in Bali!!! Remember to bring your larger purse or wallet.

These numbers of course depend on currency exchange rates so this is just intended as a guide.

check the exchange rates with Transferwise
